Welcome to Preferred Stock Kennel, home to that most wonderful of man's best friends, the English Springer Spaniel. 

For as long as I can remember, I have loved Springers.  After leaving New York City twenty five years ago, I found a very young, adorable Springer roaming the streets of Southern Pines. She became "Flavia"  and is remembered by everybody she met in downtown Southern Pines and to this day, she stays in my heart.  She began my journey with an incredible family of dogs.

When “Flavia” was five, we acquired "Sabrina", a lovely statuesque Springer puppy. “Sabrina” was superbly instinctive with an unerring intelligence and there lies the rest of the credit. Limberlost Sabrina Fair became my foundation and handed me a breeding program through one very special puppy in her first litter of ten, "Flossy." "Flossy" was a "natural," the package that incorporates correct structure, confirmation and effortless flowing movement. “Flossy” was the sum total of all the perfect parts.

She was the loveliest, most tolerant and caring Nanny to every puppy we raised together.  It is an understatement to say “Flossy” put the Preferred Stock stamp on several generations of new issues from

“Adrienne” to “Zoom.”
